Stroke


 
Description

Stroke, including a disease characterized by death of brain tissue. The cause of reduced blood flow and oxygen to the brain. Stroke was divided into two types; Hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic stroke. In ischemic stroke, blood flow to the brain stops because of a buildup of cholesterol in blood vessel walls (atherosclerosis) or blood clot that has clogged the arteries to the brain. Most of the patients or 83% had a stroke of this type.

On Hemorrhagic strokes, ruptured blood vessel causes blood to flow normally inhibited. Due to continued blood seeped into an area in the brain and damage it.

In ischemic stroke, blockage can occur along the arteries leading to the brain. Blood to the brain is supplied by two internal carotid arteries and two vertebral arteries. These arteries are branches of the aortic arch heart.

Diseases or conditions that cause or exacerbate a stroke called a risk factor for stroke. These factors include hypertension, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia (elevation of lipid levels in the blood). Circumstances that can lead to stroke are advanced age, obesity, smoking, race (Negro / Spanish), gender (male), lack of exercise.

Symptom
Some symptoms of stroke include weakness or paralysis of the arm or leg or one side of the body, partial loss of vision or hearing, double vision, dizziness, slurred speech (rero), it is difficult to think or say the right words, unable to recognize parts of
body, unusual movements, loss of bladder control, imbalance and falls, and fainting.

Treatment
If you're having a stroke, immediate examination to determine whether the cause of blood clots or bleeding that can not be resolved by crushing the drug blood clot.
